I’m constantly amazed at the spam emails I receive. I’ve got a lot of domains, and don’t accept email on most of them, but annoyingly, I get a lot of spam on the handful of email addresses I use regularly.
I use Gmail, and their spam filtering is pretty good, but still I have hundreds every day, and I have to check through them for false positives, just in case I an email I want gets through.
I’m amused at the stuff that gets spammed, and lately I’ve been getting a lot of emails for blankets with sleeves! They seem to come in a variety of names, Snuggie, Snuglette, Slanket, and no doubt Blankey and Bleeves.
And just imagine, you can get all wrapped up and still have the use of your arms!
I think one of the determinants for what spammers promote is the ease of creating the product. So if it’s easily produceable (blankets, pills, porn) then maybe it’s easily promotable by spam.
