Google Page One In Seconds

I made a video for my rcLazy.com website, and got it on the first page of Google’s results in seconds, even before YouTube had finished processing it.
It was very easy, choose a keyword with little competition (but with some interest), make a video, upload it. Shockingly easy!

Surprise in Alexa Top 10: Baidu.com

I never knew that Alexa listed Baidu.com as No.8 website in the world.  I never even realised what Baidu was.  The Chinese site must be massive, how can internet marketers make the most of the Chinese market?

Help! My Clickbank Sales Have Stopped!

I’m a relatively new Clickbank vendor, and whilst I love the thousands of affiliates their system provides, I’m a bit concerned about their sales tracking.
I have one product on Clickbank (with more in development), and am selling, on average, about one a day. Sometimes it’s 2 or 3, sometimes it’s none.
A couple of weeks [...]

Direct Recruiting of Off-Shore Freelancers

Over the years I’ve used all sorts of freelancers.  Whilst nothing beats having a real live person sat in the same room as you, you’ll usually pay handsomely for the privilege.
Off-shore outsourcing online is nothing new, it’s been happening since the 90s.  More recently in this century it’s become apparent that countries such as the [...]

Domain Name Trademark Dispute

Today my company received a Notification of Complaint and Commencement of Administrative Proceeding from the World Intellectual Property Organisation.
This weighty communication, numbering probably around 200 pages of A4, was sent from Switzerland by UPS.
The jolly large multinational corporation that owns the trademark don’t seem to be too happy with a domain name that my [...]

Overweight + Internet Marketing = Two Birds with One Stone?

I’m currently overweight. About 2 stones overweight.
I’m an Internet Marketer. I have been for about a decade.
Lately I’ve been wondering how to lose weight, and get fit again.  I’ve also been wondering lately what my next Internet Marketing project might be.
I decided to lose weight mainly by weight training.  I love to eat, [...]

More 50DollarLogo Nonsense

Since my 50dollarlogo refund problem post, several people have mentioned them to me, they seem to be a thing of legend…
Thanks to G. for pointing out this amusing article at 160over90 - The 50 Dollar Logo Experiment.
G. says, “i want anthropomorphic cheeses”.
I have to agree!
[And hey!  160over90 - your font is TOO SMALL! Hmm, actually, [...]

25poundlogo (50dollarlogo) Refund from NoChex

It took over 2 months to get a refund from 25poundlogo, after receiving really bad design ideas. Dreadful service!

The Importance of http://

People quote URLs all the time on social media, but oh so often they forget to put the http:// on them.  I often tell them, and they often thank me, but so many people just don’t realise that it’s important.  If it’s not on there, it often can’t be clicked on.
Recognising web site address is [...]

I heart WordPress

Over the years I’ve used numerous methods to build web sites (I’ve worked in the online industry since 1995) including hand coding, in-house applications, high-end commercial CMS systems, and most recently I’ve been dabbling with Open Source CMSs.
I tried Joomla, and quite liked it, I put up a few sites with it.  I found though, [...]
