More 50DollarLogo Nonsense

Since my 50dollarlogo refund problem post, several people have mentioned them to me, they seem to be a thing of legend…
Thanks to G. for pointing out this amusing article at 160over90 - The 50 Dollar Logo Experiment.
G. says, “i want anthropomorphic cheeses”.
I have to agree!
[And hey!  160over90 - your font is TOO SMALL! Hmm, actually, [...]

25poundlogo (50dollarlogo) Refund from NoChex

It took over 2 months to get a refund from 25poundlogo, after receiving really bad design ideas. Dreadful service!

Dutch Bike Feature

@shiraabel tweeted this feature article about the Dutch Bike in the New York Times
The content of the article is fantastic: sharp and informative.
But what I like even more is the way they’ve done it, self-playing audio, picture slideshow, it works really well.
I hit the page and was startled by the audio, but, if it hadn’t [...]

Mouse Trap Board Game Video

I’ve never played Mouse Trap – how did this feast of ridiculousness pass me by?  It looks awesome!  I particularly like the diving man, and the bathtub which the huge hole in it.
Maybe I want one to go with my ever increasing kids games collection… eBay as ever is my friend…

Dorchester Woolworths: Well Worth The Money

I’ve just watched BBC One’s
How Woolies Became Wellies: One Woman’s Fight for the High Street
A great fly on the wall documentary about how the Dorchester Woolworths became the Dorchester Wellworths.
Give it a watch, and look out for the delightful twins at 52 mins in!

The Importance of http://

Recognising web site address is [...]

Google buying Twitter: Twoogle?

The rumours abound that Google is looking to buy Twitter. They say that Twitter’s real value is in it’s search, and Google kinda knows how to do that.
Google has bought similar sites in the past (Jaiku, Dodgeball) and done nothing with them.  I guess the difference now is the popularity Twitter has, it’s a [...]

Blankets with Sleeves: Gizmodo Review

Two days after I posted about the Spam Email I get about Blankets with Sleeves, Gizmodo posted an article reviewing many different types of them!
I’m clearly not the only one on the internet amazed by the phenomenon of having a blanket which isn’t just flat and square.
Ultimate Battle: The Snuggie vs. Slanket vs. Freedom Blanket [...]

Wired UK: The Magazine Returns, again…

The ‘UK LAUNCH ISSUE’ of WIRED magazine is currently on the shelves of newsagents around the UK.

I was a BIG fan of the last WIRED UK, when it was published back in the mid-90s.

So what’s the new version like?

PJ Harvey White Chalk Live Video

A pretty much perfect live version of PJ Harvey singing White Chalk on YouTube.
She’s so good!
